Periodic Health Monitoring
Health monitoring for workers with hazardous exposures
We utilise SafeWork Australia and State guidelines for the monitoring and investigation of hazardous exposures. Monitoring is available for:
Hazardous chemicals
Lead and other heavy metals
Silica and Asbestos
Hearing conservation
We are able to complete one-off and periodic assessments for any hazardous exposures. We are also able to provide ongoing monitoring for lead levels with reporting and direction for management.

Injury Management
The doctors and allied health practitioners at TSMP are experienced in work injury management where the philosophy of “stay at work” and “return to work” is central in their clinical management of injured employees.
We work within the WorkCover Queensland framework and utilise their standard documentation. We are also flexible with using internal suitable duties plans and other documentation.
Our doctors prefer to work as a team with the employee and employer with timely communication and through evidence-based clinical management to ensure a positive result for everyone. We have a network of exercise physiologists and occupational therapists who we work closely with and can provide input and assistance.
Our injury health team are available Monday to Friday to manage injury work and we service small and large organisations across government, mining, industrial, construction and retail.
Workplace Health
Skin Cancer Checks
Our doctors are qualified to complete whole body skin checks and advise on appropriate management. Occupational and lifetime exposure to the sun increases the risk of skin cancer many fold. Yearly skin checks can decrease the morbidity associated with developing skin cancer by allowing early intervention.
On-site Influenza Vaccination Programs
If you are concerned about the impact on influenza on the health of your employees and the productivity of your company, then an influenza vaccination program with TSMP is a convenient way minimise disruptions, protect productivity and invest in the health and wellbeing of your staff. Vaccinating your employees against influenza has shown to be cost effective as employees remaining healthier, reducing absenteeism and increasing productivity.
Other Vaccinations
If other occupational risks exist we can also facilitate other vaccine programs. Examples include but are not limited to Q fever, rabies, hepatitis A and B, typhoid, tetanus and whooping cough. See The Travel Clinic for further information
Drug and Alcohol Testing
Drug and alcohol testing is a statutory requirement in some industries and has also been adopted in other industries to help maintain a safe working environment. We provide instant drug and alcohol screening utilising a seven-panel drug kit, which also tests for alcohol and includes six adulterant checks. The test kit meets the Australian Standards AS/NZS 4308:2023. We also conduct breath alcohol testing in accordance with AS 3547:2019.
We also offer gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GCMS) drug and alcohol testing through a pathology laboratory. Confirmatory testing of any not-negative instant results are recommended to proceed to GCMS.
Medical Review Officers (MRO)
We also have doctors who are certified MRO’s and can assist you with your Alcohol and Other drugs policies, interpret results of GCMS/LCMS laboratory confirmatory testing and provide guidance with managing these results.
