The Community Gro's "Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme" (funded by the Australian Government) facilitates a Post Card Writing program, an incredible initiative that sees Residential Aged Care Residents receive regular postcards from members of the Townsville community. Under the guidance of Community Gro workers (including suggestions for post-card content), volunteers are supported to establish relationships with aged care residents via the Postcard program.
